I’ve been trying to get my little guy to grow attached to a stuffed animal since before he was born.
I grew up with my teddy bear, Bear Baby, my whole life, and she was my comfort, my confidante, my baby…
But try as I might, I could not for the life of me get my little guy to latch on to any of the hundreds of animals I brought home for him.
I tried bears, lions, dogs, monkeys, and even alligators and toucans. None of them stuck.
And then one day I bought a Cuddle + Kind doll. Sebastian the Lamb, to be exact.
Finding Comfort | Cuddle + Kind
I’d been eyeing them for months, and I finally took the plunge and bought one.
The great thing about Cuddle + Kind is that for every doll you purchase, the company gives 10 meals to children in need.
Kind of like Toms, but with adorable hand-knit stuffed animals.
I’m seriously obsessed.
And, turns out, so is my son.
He discovered “Baby” in his bed one night, and the fluffy friend has been his bedtime comfort ever since.
He tucks him in, he gives him water, he gives him hugs and kisses, and he sleeps with his arm wrapped around him.
It’s the sweetest thing ever, and I am so glad that he naturally found himself his own Bear Baby…
Everyone needs to feel comforted from time to time. Sometimes the best place to derive that comfort is from a little friend who won’t spill your secrets.
I’m grateful my little man has that.
